Why has the corner of my TV gone Purple :(?
I just noticed a purple haze in the right hand corner of my screen and I don't understand it :(
We have a speaker about a foot away from the TV and it sits below the tv (to the right but on the floor the tv is on a cabinet) Surely it cant be this as the speaker has always been there.
I also have a dvd player under it and a playstation under that but surely thats ok?
Any ideas really appreciate it as Im really fed up now xxx

I do not think that your speakers are to blame. You must switch the set off at the wall, leave off for 10 mins and switch on again ! Repeat this two or three times , you will find that this will fix your problem.
The above method works by forcing the TV to degauss itself.

its something with the tinting on your tv. if you change it to the
right levels it should be fine.
My tv used to do that also but it used to go away by itslef its ntohin really thtsa problem
a magnet must be near by or a speaker
i would suggest to remove those speakers for about a day or so to see if the purple haze would go away
check your tv for DEGAUSS.
a magnet near a tv screencan distort the picture. DEGAUSS should fix that .
try to get the colors straighten out if that don't work then get someone with that works on TV's that is a specialtist,but i'm not sure but i think your tv is about to go out.has anyone put a magnet on the screen? if so that will mess a tv up.
The speaker may have had something to do with it over time. A speaker, due to having a magnet in it, should not be set near a tube tv. There is a proceedure, degaussing (demagnetizing) that may help. Call a tv repair shop.
U change the place of your speaker, keep it far away from your TV.
Speaker is make magnetic field surrounding its area.
TV picture tube is affected by this magnetic field, and so such type of colour problem is showing.
After removing speaker on and off your TV 4-5 times so it is demagnetise your picture tube and solve your problem.
If U not solve problem, demagnetise your CRT manually.
even though if u face problem then your picture tube is faulty replace it.
now your problem is solve.
