Does this TV do 720p and 1080?

broadcast formats displayed: 720p (HDTV) • 480p (EDTV) • 480i (SDTV)

broadcast formats supported: 1080i (HDTV) • 720p (HDTV)

so does it so 1080i? If i set a PS3 to output 1080i, and put a blu ray movie in it, will it be in high def?

Answer:
yea it will get up to 1080i resolution for dvds and ps3 games if you use an hdmi cable...
Yes it will display 1080i pictures.
the picture will look good but im not sure if it will be in high def. i think 720p is high def cus when i played nfs it said it was in high def when i put it on 720p. 720p isnt as good as 1080p but its still good. if you ask me, i cant really tell the difference between 1080i and 720p. when it is 1080i then it is a higher resolution but i think it skips every other line which you can hardly notice. 720p is a lower resolution but it doesnt skip lines.
