If I be you, I would go to any electronic store that sell plasma and LCD and see the real difference between the two. It's your money and you know what's best for your eyes.

The answer is right here in CEQnA.com. Just check out LCD vs Plasma.
Plasmas produce darker blacks, i.e. superior contrast. Both types of TV's look almost identical within HD picture quality. LCD tvs work better at complex altitudes, they weigh less, they do not suffer from burn contained by, etc.
Plasma tv's suffer from burn in which is your prevalent concern. If you watch plentifully of TV shows with tickers or play videogames at adjectives then you'll want to buy a LCD TV.
I don't know that much roughly Plazma HDTV's, but I have read adequate to know primarily Plazma is better, and more expensive. What I know about LCD models is that here is a difference by the "resolution support": Cheaper models are 480i while more expensive LCD models are 1081i. Also with LCD models the aspect ratio is a factor for the cost. The highly developed the aspect ratio the higher the cost; say- 800:1 as defiant 1600:1, there is a big difference within the quality of what you see. The lower aspect ratio TV's are "Bleary" on peak, while th e1600:1 aspect ratio is crisp and clean. With adjectives LCD models there is severe problem viewing them at side angles. Its best to sit right surrounded by front of the screen.
I haven't checke the prices of models over 37" for plazma vs LCD, but from what I read, if I be spending that kind of money I would stir Plazma.
There are some basic differences between the two tedhnologies: check the links below for detailed information and comparisons.
