What is the difference between 1080i and 1080p.?
Answers: 1080i is what is known as an interlaced signal. TV's that hold a native resolution of 1080i will confer you a 1080 signal when 2 frames "interlace" together. This means that at any one time you hold a frame that is at 1080 resolution but the interlacing effect cause each frame to be at give or take a few 720 resolution.
1080p is what is known as a progressive signal. TV's that own a native resolution of 1080p will supply you a 1080 signal at all times. No overlapping effect cause from the interlacing.
