How do I hook up a HDTV antenna and the cable from TVMAX at the same time?

I have TVMAX as my cable service provider. I get all channels in my HDTV TV but i cannot get the local HD channels. I bought a HDTV antenna and when I hooked it up I was able to get the local HDTV channels over the air but I wanna a way to hook both the antenna and the cable into my tv. (my TV has only one cable outlet)

Answer:
This is what I did. I use the HDTV antenna with the coax input of my HDTV for local HD channels. I use a cable box with video output connected to the video input of my HDTV for cable service.
That way I can use the video input selector to switch from HDTV antenna to cable.
If you don't have a cable box then you would have to use another type of tuner, possibly your VCR?
