What is the best TV for picture quality CRT or LCD? And why?

Answer:
CRT has a superior picture quality to LCD but they take up more space, use more electricity and don't last as long.

The problems with LCDs are you need high quality cables and a high definition picture to achieve the best out of them but for the majority of regular broadcast pictures, CRT has them beat.
LCD. Also takes up far less space. Some companies are no longer producing CRT tvs, they will be obsolete soon, and LCD's also use less electricity.
Depends on the quality of feed coming into the set. If its HD then LCD but if not it show up all the imperfections and CRT will suffice.
A general question gets a general answer. Without specifying input or tuner type, the answer is CRT, although it seems many don't know that.
