Netgear wireless router interferrs with the video sender?

Can anyone help, i have a Netgear Wireless router for my cable broadband, but recentley bought a video wireless sender so we can watch cable tv upstairs, but get lines across the tv screen when netgear is on but soon has we turn off the netgear router off the lines disappear,i've tried switching the video sender to different channels and moving the senders around the room but still no joy, can the netgear router be changed to different channels? or it maybe because the video sender was a cheap market brand, any ideas plz..

Answer:
I've had the same thing with a wireless camera/monitor setup, they both use the 2.4ghz band, probably not the exact same frequency but close enough to cause trouble, not a lot you can do about it im afraid, you could try different channels on your router, but I cant tell you how on a Netgear router unfortunately as I use linksys.

Update: Found this site full of info mate, that'll probably tell you how to change channels if its possible.

good luck!
On a Netgear router simply goto http://192.168.0.1 and log into your router. Then click on Wireless Settings down the left hand side and you will be presented with the screen containing the channel you are using, click the drop down box and choose another.

Hope this helps.
try typing in 192.168.1.1 but if you are using internet explorer you might have to go into internet options and turn of search from address bar then go into your router settings if it asks for a username and password and you have never put one in try using admin for them both email me on brett.hollis1@btinternet.com if you need help
