Know how to fix an intermittent tv volume problem?
Answer:
Look behind your sofa - there could be someone with the spare remote pressing the mute button
An abrupt and swift application of a sledge hammer to the screen, usually works for me.
take it to a local tv repair man, because local people if there is nothink wrong with the tv they will tell you there and then, and not charge you anythink, and to fix, it will be cheap!
try looking on www.yell.co.uk
try replacing the batteries in your hearing aid
some tvs have a setting where you can turn off the volume bar. Sounds like something weird with sound coming on and off. Maybe the mute button on the remote is messed up and it keeps pushing itself. Try aiming the remote away from your TV when you're not using it so if the Mute button is pressed, the beam won't reach the TV and it can't mute it. If this resolves the problem, then buy a new remote.
Sounds like you have a problem in the audio output circuit of the set. Possibly an output IC or maybe just a bad connection. What devices do you have hooked up to it? You can eliminate these by hooking one at a time. Ex.- dvd or vcr or cable box. Try hooking up through your tuner using coax & then your A/V inputs. If the problem is still there then you'll need to have it checked out.
