What is the best 50" LCD HD TV for the money?
Answer:
The Sony Bravia is really good but if you can't afford it then check out the Sony 50'' SXRD LCD HDTV Projection. I'm getting one soon, it's 1080p with 2 HDMI inputs(1080p capability) and built in HD tuner, it's really good. But the downside to it is that you gotta change the bulbs every 3 years and they cost about $250 but the price is slowly coming down so by then it'll be even cheaper. But who cares, I mean it's every 3 years.
The Sony Bravia.
Stay away from Sharp 50" LCD's because they all have some sort of line appearance problem.
Sony and Samsung (use same LCD screen) are always top rated.
50" LCD's can be grainy due to fixed number of HDTV pixels spread over a bigger area.
Next generation LCD TVs will be 120HZ picture refresh rate (120 per second) instead of current 60HZ (60 times per second ). This twice as fast refresh rate make movies (for another reason as well) and fast motion (action sports) less blurry and pixelated. This will help make the bigger screen TVs look more clear and sharp.
