I have two sky plus boxes, both contained by seperate rooms but fed from alike dish, but only one connected to a phone vein. The box not connected switches off every darkness (red light on front) but does not switch past its sell-by date during the day. Could this be Sky instructing this box to shut down as the phone rank is not connected.

This is done by sky to save yours and the countries power.A immense amount of power can be saved by turning sky boxes on to standby adjectives over the country in the dark when they are not normally anyone used. There is a setting in the boxes setup where on earth you can prevent this happening if you dont approaching it happening
