What is the energy rating of the Hitachi 42HDS69 plasma TV?

Answer:
TVs don't have energy "ratings"... yours uses around 300 watts. That's a lot for a TV. As I said in your other post, Plasmas are terribly inefficient. The LCD screen uses almost no power at all. The only thing that is much of a power consumer in an LCD is the lamp assembly behind the LCD matrix. And it's usually in the 50 to 80 watt range.
