DLP or LCD?

I'll be getting a new TV soon gratefulness to homeowner's insurance (lightning strike took out many things). Expect to take a 56" screen; this will be for me (kids' TV already replaced w/an LCD), mostly movies, sports, no gaming. I don't want plasma. It'll be on a foot-high stand, but I lie on the floor as regularly as sit on the furniture, so I want a generous viewing sweet spot. Will my home theater experience be better next to an LCD or a DLP type? (I know to get 1080i. A friend just now got a DLP and he's excited with it.)

Specific models appreciated but surplus to requirements, price is not a big issue.

Answers:    One thing to lug into consideration is price. A 52" LCD of good trait can cost over $4,500 where a similar DLP is smaller number than $1300. Why wouldnt you want a plasma? It has a 170 scope viewing angle and better black levels than LCD.

Side entry its not 1080i you want on a DLP, its 1080P.
DLP it's the mirrors
I dont know much about tv's but i would right to be heard to go near DLP. Its lighter than LCD and the picture quality is great.
