I have time warner cable and my play button on my remote with not work. how do i get it to work?

You can take it into their office they will replace the remote.
It depends if your trying to play a recorded program or trying to press play from when you just paused it or your trying to play your DVD player or VCR. If your trying to play a recorded program or play from pausing you have to make sure your remote is in cable mode. Press the CAB button on the top of your remote then press the play button. That should work. If your trying to play from a DVD player or VCR you have to make sure the remote is programmed for your certain device. When you first got your cable you should've gotten a booklet with a list of codes for each device. Look up your Brand name under DVD and VCR and follow the steps and that should work. If that doesnt work you can always call the cable company and they should go through it step by step. Good Luck!
