How do i put a tv socket in?
Answer:
You can either run it from the aerial, or 'split' the signal from the house.
A splitter is just a devise you plug the aerial socket into, which then allows you to plug that signal into two different devises. For ordinary TV signals that is okay, but I would get a signal booster which you plug the coaxial cable into, and have the signal boosted and sent to 2 or more devises (video recorders, TV's etc).
Here's one example of a booster, these cost a bit more than splitters, but if you ever get certain digital services the splitter will give an inferior signal. http://broadband.motorola.com/consumers/...

A jack is just the plug which goes onto the end of the cable, and plugs into the RF input on Video recorder or TV.
If you pay someone to take the signal from the aerial it will cost quite a lot because they have to climb up to the aerial. Much cheaper splitting, or boosting and splitting the signal from the house.
Just use a splitter you can run any amount of tv's from one aerial
If you already have a line in the house all you need is a splitter and a couple of jacks and that will allow you to split the single line into two(one for the house and one for the garage) if not then you will need to run it from the aerial.
A splitter divides the available signal into two ! You can not run as many as you like as Mata says, not without using a booster amp. !The more yo connect the less signal to go round.
Fairy Ble has the right idea !
