I bought an S-Video cable. Can i get whatever is playing on tv to the computer?

I don't really know how to use it. I bought it, cuz i thought that i can connect it to both, and whatever i'm watching on tv will play on computer... whassup with that...?

Answer:
You need to buy a computer TV tuner card or comparable that will allow video input.

Also, not many TVs have video out. Cable or satellite boxes do but you may have to buy a splitter to output the video signal to both TV and computer.

No cheap solution for you.
