Can i take the crt guns out of a 50 inch rear projection tv and put them into a 55 inch rear projection tv?

Answer:
YOUR BEST CHANCE OF SUCCESS IS.

#1 Those CRTS came from the same brand name.
#2 Those CRTS came from the same year or (+- 2 years)
#3 Those CRTS came from the same Chassis (see #2)

BUT the most ideal information you can retrieve is.

Those CRTS have the same CRT number on the Bell of the CRT

See that sticker on the CRT with the 18XYZ454 kind of number sticking out there?

That tells a lot about the CRT.heater voltages, Grid design, what level of HV current it needs..IF THE NUMBER IS EXACTLY THE SAME...YOU HAVE A WINNER!!

CRTs are different, but if you stay REAL CLOSE to your actual MODEL, the better you are in success
I would say yes you can if you know how to LOL
Yes you can, but there's possibility that you will have blurry image and not full image.
