Viewsonic LCDTV repair. Need to open case to replace power supply since they don't honor warranty. Model N3250

TV was working fine and suddenly stopped. Green power light comes on but no video or audio present. Removed back cover screws but unable to open case. Please help, as Viewsonic only knows 3 words - "Out of Warranty"...!

Answer:
I have the exact same N3250w LCD TV that is 14 Months old with a similar problem and it's also out of warranty. To get into the case remove all of the screws, stand the monitor up to remove the weight on the retainers around the edges, take 2 very small screwdrivers and gently pry your way around the case, you will see there are small indents which hold it together - sort of like a clam shell case.
Mine has a whole bunch of blown capacitors in the power supply. The power supply appears to be proprietary.
Any help locating one would be greatly appreciated.
sounds like ur TV is buggered get a new one mate it would be better than moaning at the TV manufacturers TVS dont last forever lol
