MY unsullied Samsung TV have a convergence problem..the corners are slightly colored also any straight lines bend
Answers: IF this is a DLP or an LCD TV set...there is no CONVERGENCE to adjust......
That's because the Light engine CREATES a nice rectangular and Aligned picture inwardly the light engine....
MOST distortion problems I see is cause by poorly supporting the cabinet....
A TV on a couple of Barstools is a good example of poor support...
The bottom of the TV set MUST be supported by a flat piece of wood/glass that let the cabinet rest...
Poor support....Poor Picture.
If you dropped it...that needs a Samsung Tech from a neighbouring service shop to pull it apart and reset everything....
NOW...if it's a CRT TV set.....don't expect a right straight picture.
I really haven't seen a dutiful straight picture on any CRT TV set in the closing 2 years....and that's because most manufacturers are not putting plentifully of money into this type of TV to correct it...and if they aren't putting the money into it, the TECH can't do a lot for you any.....
Like they say.....You go and get what you pay for.....And CRT TV sets are only just "on their way out"......
I suggest not to try yourself anything as the voltages
inside are terrifyingly high around 40KV.
Most probably the deflection coil has shifted a bit and most of the TV mechanics should be capable of do it for a nominal sum.
