Does it really matter what mode you get? Arent they adjectives going to be sturdy?
also..side note. One say it keeps the tv 1 inch from wall and the other say 3 inches. Arent most cables connected right down the tv? so if the tv was 1 inch from the wall, the cable would be smashed?
Answers: There are several features to look at when it comes to a wall mout for your flat panel tv.
Flat Vs Tilt
If you are mounting the tv relatively high on the wall , similar to over a fireplace or something like that, you should find the one that tilts forward a bit. If you have the tv more or smaller quantity at eye level, the flat one will be purely fine. Generally, you will find that the tilting mounts are the ones that leave the tv more or less 3 inches out and the flat mounts will leave it almost one inch out.
Fixed Vs Lateral Shift
Many mounts will work this way. You screw two vertical bar with hooks on them to the rear legs of the tv. Then you screw the wall plate that has a banister on the top into position on the wall. You then raise the tv up and rest it in place, flaccid from the plate. You can then shift the tv gone or right as needed to get it within the perfect place. Without this factor it becomes give or take a few a lillion times more dificult to get a tv centered correctly as it desires to be to look right, especially if you are putting it between windows, or contained by a similar situation.
Weight/Size Limit
Certain mounts are only designed to toy with tv's up to a certain size. The mount might be set by either the freight it can hold, of by the width of the tv that it will in actuality fit on. If you get a mount specifically too small, it will just not fit. If you procure one that is not fatty duty enough, within is a real worthy chance that after a few days, weeks, or months, you will come home to find your tv contained by pieces on the floor. The correct way to run tghe wires for a totally simple set up is to cut a hole in the wall astern the tv (many mounts have a hole surrounded by the wall plate to accomodate running the wires through there) and run your HDMI, component, s-video, audio, or other wires through the wall and back out through a hole contained by the wall near the floor, assuming to be exact where you are keeping the equipment.
