How do I go and get full HD?

Our family have a 49 inch HDTV Zenith CRT tv. On the front it says 1080 any i or p. In the back it have a thing to plug into that say HDMI. The picture is pretty bad. Sometimes its alright, and other times its crap and my other SHARP tube tv have better picture than it.

So can anyone tell me how to seize the full 1080. I would actually similar to to enjoy a virtuous picture. What do I have to buy?
Thank you immensely much, if anyone can help 10 points! Thanx

Answers:    First you requirement to check if the TV is 1080i or 1080p. If it is 1080p then it is a full HD TV. To capture the best out of the TV you need other HD appliances related to the TV, for example blu-ray player, HD DVD, PS3 or XBOX360. If you are watching a HD DVD on a HD TV you will get the benefit of a better picture. Some empire say HD cable is the answer but it is not as the picture is still broadcast contained by 720p.
You have to see that the cable, not the input place, can support. Go to your local best buy, p.c richards ans son, circuit city, or 6th avenue electronics, and buy cables that are HD cable, and contact your cable company to ask to see if you have HD tv service, if you don't you will enjoy to get it for you to enjoy HD tv service.
