LCD tv direction anyone?

I'm shopping for a 42" LCD. I think I've found the one I want, but I can't afford to foot for the HD programming that my satellite company offers right in a minute. I heard that some of the tvs own processors that are supposed to boost up regular tv stations to a higher point picture. Is this true? Or is my picture going to look worse than my regular tube tv that I have immediately? The reason I ask is because I've notice that some of the LCDs look kinda fuzzy at times, and this kinda scares me out of buying one. Any input would be greatly appreciated. Ten points to whoever can lend a hand me out the best! Thanks!

Answers:    As for the quality of the picture - LCD TVs hold a native resolution and they will go up any programming you feed them to that resolution. In other words - the TV will own a set number of dots on the screen (pixels) and it will other use the same ones. So the answer to your first press is yes...but keep surrounded by mind that you aren't really gaining any picture part because the original things doesn't have any more picture to show. I know this is for a time confusing but the real answer is that it will look for a time better, but not much. DVD's will look quite a bit better if you can draw from a progressive scan DVD player.

Another thing to preserve in mind is that you should know how to get local channel in HD at no added cost. So you will acquire a taste of the better quality, but adjectives your favorite sattelite channels won't come within HD unless you pay extra. Check the relationship below to see what channels you can return with over the air & most of those probably broadcast surrounded by HD.
You can hook up a UHF Antenna and pick up all the local furrow for free in HD. And they look great better than you draw from from your local cable company. here are some links to buy antenna. You can also go to radio shack they also get rid of HD antennas

My advice is dont buy one...Buy an HD organized plasma...The LCD tv's tend to lose the pixels too easily...I own a plasma screen and hold no problems with it.
