Blurry picture - not settings related?

My CRT type HDTV ready picture suddenly lost all its picture sharpness & brightness resulting in a soft/bland appearance. This is a TV issue as other TV in house not affected. Poor picture the same regardless of source, ie. dvd, direct cable connect to TV or thru cable box.
Any ideas?

Answer:
Yes, sounds like one of the voltages going to the CRT has changed, or the CRT itsself is defective. A technician can measure those voltages, compare them to what they should be, and verify where the cause lies. This is not something a do-it-yourselfer should consider as we're talking dangerous voltages here.
before asking technician to visit your home, check sharpness, color, contrast and brightness settings to adjust for best picture
I have seen this before in the CRT based sets. Answer 1 is very correct. If it is what I would suspect, a qualified technician would need to perform the repairs, and consequent adjustments. You are talking several thousand volts to drive the CRT itself, forget the screen and focus controls, they too are high voltage. You do not tell us what brand the set is, nor how old it is. That info would be handy.
