What is unequivocally the best manner of TV IE: plasma, LCD, other?
Answers: There is no unequivocal answer.
Plasmas have color depth and contrast profit because of the technology on which plasma is based. Also they tend to hold a much wider viewing angle allowing for more of your living room to see a great picture. They have be prone to burn-in but this is becoming a non issue.
LCDs run cheaper and less hot, and tend to be within the smaller size ranges, though this is changing hastily. The viewing angle is much more narrow description if viewed past its sell-by date the center axis you may see brightness, contrast or color shifting.
DLP is projection technology that allows much larger screens to be made at lower price points, but regularly cannot be viewed in good health in a brightly lit room. LCD projection is indistinguishable as DLP but does not have the contrast benefit of DLP because of its DLP's mirror technology.
For my money I prefer Plasma, and as a person who watches 1080p HD small screen in adjectives makes/models/technolgies as his job I own somewhat of an experienced opinion.
