Is this true that Video-in port (the washed out one) does not support any resolution more than 640x480 ?

if my monitor has a max resolution of 1024x780 and i hook up my xbox360 to it through the Video-in port ( the washed out on ) on the monitor, will i have that max resolution?

Answers:    Composite video is with the sole purpose 640x480 interlaced, or what's know as 480i.

You're looking for a 720p resolution, and for that you'll need a DVI, HDMI or Component cable.
