How copious folks out here consistency stores close to Best Buy & Circuit City mislead the public when selling HDTV?

I mean really. You totter in at hand and they have adjectives their HDTV's hooked up to Discovery HD or a Blue Ray player with a great Blue Ray disk and come up with "Man, that is awesome!"

Of course they fall short to tell you that simply HD channels are going to look that fitting, if that, then you acquire home and wonder why the picture looks like crap.

This is not an issue if you're know satisfactory about it, but nearby are so many folks out there that are so confused beside HDTV that they take control of them in my feelings.

Answers:    I get that adjectives the time where I work. I only repair the sets, but my shop is right next to the showroom. I ALWAYS describe the customer, if they do not have HD service, they will not enjoy the same element picture as we have on the showroom floor.

Usually, they will buy a HD satellite system to turn with the brand new TV, or upgrade from the old one they enjoy. They always thank me for my honesty, and come subsidise to do business with us again.

If you want to forever lose a customer, basically let them find out you enjoy not been completely honest beside them. In the small town we live in, that would hold put us out of business years ago!

They come back, because they know we will steer straight near them, and help them near their set even after the warranty expires. That's the way business should be done.

I enjoy had some of alike customers for over 20 years, I must be doing something right. They pay more for their sets from us, but we submit better service, and are completely honest with the customers. That's moderately an accomplishment, these days!
Considering the business practices that Best Buy employ, it is no wonder that the populace is fed up beside them. I have be witness to several flat out lies to sell untried products. I feel that Best Buy and Circuit City do zilch but drive out helpful honest smaller shops for the almighty dollar.

The outright propaganda they spout should be a felony.

They are a short time ago as bad as Wal-Mart contained by that they slash prices by settling for reduced quality. Who remembers not need a surge protector on your TV many years ago.

They support a system of engineering that preys on 3 world countries with a cheap DISPOSABLE workforce, and suppliers that contribute to the pollution of the environment on a gargantuan go up.

I ask any here to do your part and support your local merchants and emergency quality within electronic products and tell these citizens to take this crap they hold and take it hindmost overseas. Do not shop in these dens of inequity and be informed until that time ever dealing with these charlatans.

Edit: I enjoy had so copious tell me just about a bad experience near any big box store to varying degrees. I don't contemplate they practice good business practices and consequently should not be supported. The issues stem from the manufactures they retail for, down to the after Dutch auction support, to warranty issues. Back before Best Buy I be taught that if I could not answer a put somebody through the mill to say so, but extend to find out. I just lately went fund into a Best Buy and asked for a model that supported 1080p input on component, and the idiot told me that only Sony does that, please memo that no models they currently have support 1080p except thru HDMI. The statement " we don't work on commission" is true, but do they disclose the certainty of incentives to sell a distinctive brand? No way.

I am much more comfortable beside a commissioned sales character when buying electronics preferably one that is referred to me. These entrepreneurs build a steady income by providing polite service and advice to their customers, and Best Buy have worked hard to tarnish that reputation.

I found greatly of employees working for Best Buy are wash out commissioned sales nation that suckered the customer and ruined their customer base. And immediately just push product, Also the justification the Best Buy push cables is the 20% complement rate they need to hit for numbers, Stay and study a department on a Saturday and see the GM or SM slam the staff if they don't hit numbers. Its like a scene out of Boiler Room. Given my inside experience I would never trust anything a BB or CC member of staff ever says give or take a few anything. The Sony STIP for selling Sony products, that the regular time people are eligible for, drives most of the hype around the Blu-ray. There is another point for not wanting a big chain, to jammy to influence formats and drive out cheaper and maybe superior formats.

There is a host more and I would love to exchange proceedings.
As far as being mis-lead by the picture talent, that's kind of a want of knowledge and I cogitate that is more on the customer's shutting than the reatialer. I do feel that they try to force customers into incorrect decision sometimes. Some of the people selling TVs gived biased opinion instead of just giving the consumer the facts and letting them wish.

Also, this cable monopoly that Monster seems to own over CC and BB makes me so batty. Why can't I get a HDMI cable for lower than $50 at the same time I pick up my fresh TV?

In the end empire need to realize that these are big corporations within the business of making money. Their under remunerated and under trained organization just try to bring through their shift. Hell, if you do get someone that really know what they are talking around you should consider yourself very lucky.
A few years ago this might enjoy been the crust. Now however, all the HDTV's sold own the built in tuners. With the built within tuner you can get your local stations broadcast surrounded by HDTV over the air beside simple antenna.
Best Buy is the pits. I believe they sold me an open box but call it a display set.
They would not horor their extended warrany; will not return calls. And would prefer to recline.Stay out of their stores.
When I bought my TV I knew to ask the give somebody the third degree of what it looks like near SDTV. I work for Comcast so I knew what to ask and what to look for.
One entry I have notice when I went stern there they be selling Comcast and Dish network, they also have a few TV's hooked up with them so you could see what they looked resembling. That was a great theory.
The one thing that bothers me that they do to mislead the public is they vend you a $99 HDMI cable that you honestly dont need to own unless you have eagle eyes. I enjoy Component and HDMI hooked up on my 56" 1080P TV and I cannot notice a difference at adjectives. The only time I interest anything is when I hook up my Blu Ray I think i.e. because it is actually sending out 1080P signals.
Anyways getting rear legs to the point at hand.......I judge most people have need of to do ALOT of research, be it online, magazines or different stores to grasp the info they need.
