HDTV Please Help. I hold no theory what I requirement to be "adjectives proof"?
Input Compatible: 1080p/1080i/720p/480i/480p
Maximum Resolution: 1280 x 1080
HDTV: Yes
I hope this is HDTV and not HDTV Ready...or anything approaching that. I just don't know what specs I'm supposed to be looking for. It seem for the price, this would be a good find.
Answers: You're adjectives set....I know that TV set has everything you stipulation.
You're Future-Proofed with it....
Enjoy your clean TV set....
No difference you can see with 1080i or 1080P....It's freshly a different way of transmitting the signal....
1080i is TV station nouns and 1080P is DVD players that don't transmit....DVD players also do 1080i output.
They are just compatibility STANDARDS....
adjectives proof would need to enjoy a max res, or native res of 1920x1080.
A TV next to a ATSC/QAM/NTSC tuner is also a good impression, this way you can receive digital and analog channels for the rest of their life span.
HDMI inputs are a plus
If it has those, you would be polite to go
too put in to what was previously said. 1080p is progressive and 1080i is interlaced plan every other column of pixels is being used. 1080i is simply 720p.
any item that has 720p and up is a hdtv. 1080p man true hd.
if you are looking at a 42' you don't have to worrie just about the 1080 or the 720. most ppl can't see the difference between the two with smaller size upuntil a 50' eyeshade.
also look at the contrast ratio. and something thats never posted on the tv sticker price. black levels, look at the screen compare them. you will want the one that black looks black and not some shade of gray. with lcds look for as close to black as possible, they are really bright
