How do they shut off your satellite TV service if you don't pay your bill?

They obviously can't shut off the satellite transmission to just one dish.

Answer:
They send batches of the serial numbers of disconnected satellite boxes.. if your box receives such a batch and it's serial number is in it, it will 'disconnect' you.
They flip a switch and poof you're gone.
They shut off your receivers. They have ID cards and are identified on your monthly bill :)
they disable your smart card like the bank disables a credit card
they hit a switch and then You are off
They send a signal to the satellite and it nukes your house.
