Samsung is JUNK!
Sony is 10x better than any samsung garbage.
Sony and Toshiba rule the LCD world. Those are really good brands, with good support and relibility.

Sony makes a great set but many are over priced. How long do you keep it? Right now most people only keep Tv 4-5 years before they Upgrade to new technology. I just got a 32" lcd hdtv off brand "Oelvia" by syntax from Bj wholesale club on sale for under 400 bucks. Its works great and can also be used as a computer monitor. If I get 2 years out of it im happy and there is no reason I should not. Electonic production today is very high tech and many companies sub contract out the construction anyway. Last sony Tv I had was made for Sony by sampo electronics in Korea. Sylvania which used to be made in Upstate NY was bought by North American Phillips (norelco, yes the shaver people) they are in Holland, The set however is now made in China.. So you never really know. I don't usually buy off brand electronics but it had more features then the others and cost 1/2 the price.
