TV brands, sanyo, maxent, vizio... are their LCD/plasma screens ok?

thanks for answering !!

Answer:
I suggest you search this forum for Vizio. More than 1 TV tech reporting here has said that you can't get parts for them, if something goes wrong, and possible trouble finding anyone local to do warranty work.

Reviews do give them a bang for the buck, but don't discuss reliability. I have a 50" Panasonic. I saw it displayed right next to a Vizio 50" plasma, with the same input. No question - the Panasonic had a superior picture, not to mention the reliability and factory backup. I think the extra $300 for the Panasonic was worth it.

Look around in www.plasmatvbuyingguide.com. And be very, very careful buying seemingly cheap priced off brands! Remember the Yugo? :-)
i got a vizio for a little over a year, im very happy with my purchase, when people see the HD picture you just watch their jaws drop..
Vizio has been getting very good reviews. I would go with a Vizio!
i have a vizo and it works good.
