HDTV Antenna?

If I got an Antenna to pick up HD channel, would only pick up local HD channel? or would I also pick up ESPNHD and others. Another question. Right in a minute I don't have HD service but I acquire abcHD and oetaHD anyways. Why is that?

Answers:    Your antenna will only pick up local broadcast stations. ABC, CBS, NBC, FOX, those kind of networks and local channels.

Your TV must hold a built-in HD Tuner, thus it is picking up the local HD broadcasts, like ABC HD.

ESPN is carried just by the cable or satellite companies, along with other cable or satellite just networks like TNT, CNN, AMC, A&E, etc.
You go and get the LOCAL HD stations ONLY....

You can't get ESPN HD unless you hold cable or satellite ACCESS and an HD Reciever box.....

You have a special tuner designed for the local HD stations...that's why you attain ABC HD and Oeta HD.....whatever explicitly.

You should be getting NBC CBS and PBS stations too, but thats probably because your signal is below the LOCKING threshold for those....put that antenna up higher and by a pane if you can....
