You should just wait for like Memorial Day/ Labor Day weekend. Everyone has tons of sales then and you can buy a 42" for $900-$1000.
If you save another $100 and wait for a sale, you can get a decent 42" 720p TV
you have to check out the stores and find the best deal

Its 720p.has a built in HD tuner...DUAL HDMI inputs

you always want Built in HD and at least 2 HDMI inputs.

Get the protection plan..and ALWAYS buy from Circuit CIty...they have NO restocking fee for TVs...so if you dont like it return it!
