What is the power consumption of an LCD TV?

Answer:
That depends upon the size of the display. The larger the display, the more power consumption there will be, due largely to the back-light in the display. Those things are very power hungry. Most are in the range of 250-300 watts for a 40-42 inch screen.
Look at the label on the back, it will let you know what the max amp draw of the device is. Everything that pougs into a wall outlet has this.
