i have an Akai tv. it has a 20 inch flat screen (its not an HD tv or plasma its a regular tv i guess a tube tv) it is one of those vcr dvd tv combos i bought it about 4 years ago. i was just wondering if there is anything i could do to make the picture a little bit clearer or sharper. i watch alot of tvland and when i watch like the Andy Griffith show or I love Lucy the picture just never seems to be that great even after i adjust like the contrast or the brightness or the sharpness. the adjustments do help but I dont know it still seems not as good as it should be. When i watch Lucy the picture isnt that sharp even at the sharpest setting. well if u have any suggestions that would be great. I have cox digital cable and a cable and i have it hooked to the wall with a coaxiel cable that cox put it. maybe a higher qaulity cable and the gold plated connecters might help out? or should i get a cable box? not an HD box obviously but just a regular one would that help?well thanks!

The simple answer would be that shows like The Lucy Show were not made with today's technology , they would not be great resolution to start with .
If these old movies have been digitally re mastered then that improves them somewhat but I don`t think that there is anything that you can do .Perhaps some of the other answerer's will come in on this and give an opinion !
