More relief needed on TV?

Isn't it just typical. TV have just stopped working after nearly 15 years of continual use! I open a catalogue and am shocked as none of my trusty blocks are within. Help what do I buy? My last TV is roughly 20-21" and I don't want anything huge like you can bring back. It was a Samsung. Are they still reliable or not? Which is the best entrepreneur through personal experience?
thanks guys!

Answers:    No, it's not complicated, but it does hold some work on your part to catch more or less updated on TV technology so you own some idea what you are looking for. In a small set, underneath 42" diagonally, you want to look at the LCD TVs.

As far as size goes, screen are now 16:9 aspect ratio, to some extent than the 4:3 you have in a minute. To get a "close to size" to your current set, measure it from top to bottom of the blind and compare the top to bottom measurement on the current LCD, not paying any attention to diagonal measurement, and you will attain around the same type viewing, but contained by the 16:9 ratio.

You need to walk to a large TV/electronics store, approaching Circuit City, and LOOK at the new sets. First, read this for broad info: http://www.LCDtvbuyingguide.com. If your budget permits, stay next to a reliable, quality dub brand LCD brand, like Sony, Panasonic, Toshiba, or Hitachi. Stay away from the third tier LCD cheapies, close to Ilo, Insignia, Element, Vizio, Olevia, Polaroid, Westinghouse, and RCA. Again, it's not that difficult, but you HAVE to get updated to be capable of do an effective rummage. Good hunting.
screen is measured diagonally from bottom corner to top on the other side. 59.9cm = approx 24" TV.
