If I put my TV on NTSC mode, can I play region 1 DVDs on it?
Will region 1 DVDs play on it in NTSC mode?
Thanks.
Answers: No...the region numbers are controlled by the DVD player itself...you cannot tuning the DVD player to operate in another region it be not designed for....
So you're forced to watch Region 2 DVDs merely.....
PAL mode makes it compatible beside your PAL TV (at least to be precise the likely judgment for the mode) whereas NTSC mode makes it compatible near an NTSC TV.
But Region is another thing. One instrument to get around this is to procure a Regionless or Region 0 DVD player from internet sites. But another way is to buy another player resembling yours which can be changed to Region 1 for playing American or other Region 1 discs. Yes, you have to own two players but changing a player to a bright region and saving that does not violate warranty like getting a hack unit that is to say region 0.
probably not. ntsc is a video format. it deals next to frame rate per second. region codes have to business deal with indemnity. it allows dvd's to be released in different areas of the world at different times lacking having to verbs about piracy (haha, similar to that works).
what you need is a region 1 dvd player or region free dvd player. the alternative is to rip the region 1 dvd's and reformat them to region 2. take a long time but it works.
