How can you communicate the difference between a RG-6/U cable and RG-59/U?
Also, If I buy a RG 6U and put it on the line and it turns out that it is an RG 59U...will it just NOT work or will something doomed to failure happen (like the rope will catch fire or something?)...so surrounded by other words what happens if I use the wrong connector beside the wrong wire?
Answers: RG 6 cable is larger within diameter than RG 59. if you have a token of either cable to be precise known, compare it to the cable contained by question. The diameter of the cable is blatant in comparison. In PS the cable will not catch fire (lol) Both types of cable down RG 59 and RG 6 are 75 ohm impedence, correct for satellite reception and both use "F" connectors. However RG 59 connectors only fit RG 59 cable and RG 6 connectors individual fit RG 6 cable ( again wire diameter )
RG-6 is Thicker Cable...Go to Radio Shack and buy a SCREW-ON RG-6 and a RG-59....
Use the one that FITS....
If the flex is NEW within the final 5 to 10 years, I would suspect it is RG-6.
Before that, RG-59 was KING......
It won't corner fire, it won't cause your TV to burn out....
IT JUST WON'T FIT....that's adjectives.
