Sharp AquosLC-32D42U and low volume?
If this is normal (My first LCD TV), how do I connect my I pod speakers to the TV?
Answer:
Your tv has 2 HDMI inputs!!
Your Directv should have one too, if not you should upgrade!
Your great tv is being wasted with those cheap red, white and yellow cables.
HDMI (or DVI) is required for great resolution TV!
use 1 hdmi instead of the 3 red/white/yellows!
GET rid of those nasty ol' wires... all you need is hdmi!
If you have RCA jacks on both your TV and the cable box then they should be as follows , white and red are audio red being + and either black or white being the -
yellow is always video ..
make sure your connecting it to the video , and audio IN plugs on your TV ..
IS there a volume control for the cable box ? make sure that's turned up all the way or you could have a mute button pressed somehow .
As for connecting your ipod .. no you can't .. you will short out either the Ipod or the TV .. you can't use 1 set of speakers for 2 outputs .. you could however connect your ipod to a docking station with audio out connections and plug those into the audio in on the TV ...but you can't watch and hear TV and Ipod at the same time ..
