Just get my latest HDTV, involve help out beside picture settings....?
Answers: couldnt dissagree more near tv tech man. LCD tvs have rear lights and when they arrive they are turned right up to 10. theres really no need for them to be turned up that lofty. the contrast is always turned right up to 100 contained by dynamic mode theres no need for that any. the settings are always up large so they can be shown off surrounded by the stores.
i have a samsung 37" le37r8 and i hold the settings as so
mode. standard
contrast. 75
brightness. 50
sharpness. 30
colour. 50
colour tone. normal
backlight. 7
i see my sky+ box via scart that way and yes the picture isnt amazing but its the best you can bring it on an lcd hd ready tv
If you enjoy any of the Pixar films (Monsters Inc, The Incredibles, etc) in the bonus features they hold THX setup walkthrough that are a quick path of optimizing your screen. See here:

If you want to bring more techy, there are DVDs approaching Digital Video Essentials that will help you draw from the job done. You can investigate for "DVD Calibration" on Amazon to see some.
WHY does everybody THINK they have to adjust their TVs straight out of the box?
Do you suppose the manufacturer sets everything WAY OFF PERFECT so you enjoy to adjust it?
Heck I get Lawnmowers straight out of the box and I don't hold to do any adjustments for at smallest 6 to 8 years....
But, if you have already mis-adjusted the manufacturer's settings for an OPTIMAL PICTURE, here's the IDEAL settings....
Contrast -- 3/4 to Full.....
Color, Brightness, Tint, Sharpness -- Halfway.
Noise Reduction --- ON
Color Temp -- Neutral or Cool
That's it...that sets the TV for optimal picture...
Now STOP PLAYING beside your new toy and savour it, like the capitalist set it up for.....Out of the Box ENJOYMENT....
