You'll learn a lot more than reading simple, to often uneducated answers here. However, after getting some education from the above sites, you might want to go to the search box at the top of the page and type in "lcd vs. plasma" probably 100s of comments.
this was told by tv salesman, if your tv is on most of day do not get plasma, as they use up the plasma gas inside, as we have plan to get another tv, we will get lcd because ours is on most of the.
It used to be that LCD was the best choice for a screen size less than 40 inches and Plasma for screen sizes greater than 40 inches. However, in the last year there have been numerous advances in LCD that have resulted in screen sizes up to 50 inches.
I bought a 42 inch Plasma a year ago (Pioneer Elite) and love it. However, if I had a do-over now, I'd consider a 46 inch LCD. LCD typically offers a more dynamic and brighter picture than Plasma.
depends.
if u want a theater experience, plasma is the best, but it overheats pretty quickly. it has extremely crisp and vibrant colors in dark settings.
i would personally choose LCD for regular use (watching the news or shows) and video-gaming becauseit has great resolution and it doesn't overheat.
