How can I get screen shots from a movie directly from TV to PC?

I just realized there are no really wonderful images of Paul Newman available. I want to know if there is a way to play "Long Hot Summer" on my DVD player and do a screen capture from the television to my PC. If this is possible, how can I do it? What will I need to do it? The more details, the better.

Answer:
I would play the dvd on a PC using something like power dvd, and use the snap shot function...
you need a TV Tuner. These are very expensive, some as much as 200 dollars. What it allows you to do is play live cable TV on your omputer with a program, and lets you save right to your hard drive the TV that you are watching. Pretty much - it records TV to your PC.
For recording screen you can try Screen VidShot.
