Are new plasma tv better than the old ones or just cheaper?

better - deeper blacks, HD, more resolution, better chance it wont burn in the image, longer life, newer features, etc etc etc
dont buy a used one unless u get it real cheap
Much better technology. They last longer and have pretty much done away with the image burn in problem.
