If I unplug my HD cable box to move it, will I lose the memory and have to go thru the set crap again>?

Answer:
Yup.
ANY TIME YOU UNPLUG YOUR CABLE BOX IT WILL NEED TO GO THRU THE SET UP AGAIN AND IT WILL NOT TAKE 2 LONG
What are you guys answering? No, the HD box has a battery in it that saves all settings. The only thing you'll lose is the guide data and the connection to video on demand. Both of these will be restored usually within 15 minutes. All other setting, 16x9 and the upconversion, for example, will stay because of the battery.
dont know what on earth the top two are answering. the box saves all the vital memory sources as it hs a constant power supply from a battery which kicks in when unplugged. these boxes are designed to be portable and user friendly so almost all data will be kept.
your box will default to its orginal settings it will reboot itself and be fine if your talking about a dvr cable box it will save all your recorded shows and recording settings
