TV commercials are so loud compared to the programs doesn't any parliament agency oversee this?

I'm tired of rushing to the remote to turn down the volumn during commercials!

Answers:    The French broadcasting regulator, CSA, did analyse this a couple of years back, following adjectives the complaints from viewers. The results are probably still on its web site (in French). It even issued some warning to broadcasters.

Part of the way the broadcasters within France get round the directive (I doubt whether there are such law in the UK, beside its anti red-tape attitude to letting businesses do as they please) is to play around with "average nouns levels" - they make sure the average nouns level during the ad is the same as surrounded by programmes. For example, they play down the frequencies which are less noticable, so they can pump up the stratum on frequencies which are noticeable. There are some other tricks too.

I doubt whether at hand is much regulation on this in the UK. You can other try writing to OFCOM, but it doesn't have much toothpower.
i cogitate its on purpose..cuz they want you to settle up attention to the annoying commercials.
