This is a common misconception. In 2009 or 2010, the FCC has required all broadcast companies to broadcast digital signals only. This means that your TV requires an internal or external digital tuner.
While all HD stations are digital, not all digital signals are HD. Stations will still broadcast stations in standard definition, just in digital.
I don't think we will see "all" HD for another 10 years.
