Should i get a plasma tv or lcd tv?
Answer:
I say LCD, I have a 42" Viewsonic LCD and its awsome with my HD-DVD player, regular progressive scan 480p dvd's look great, my standard def. satellite looks pretty decent too.
LCD's are lighter, more durable (a plus for shipping), the bulbs are replaceable, LCD's use less power, no burn-in, have fast gtg response times now (8ms and faster), very bright, and great contrast. Most people will tell you LCD's are rated at lower brightness and contrast, but I've been told that if they test both plasma and LCD the same way that LCD's are the same if not brighter. My LCD tv is very bright, vibrant colors, just a smooth, yet crisp picture. My parents have a plasma so I've seen and experienced them both. I like the LCD better.
My LCD tv is bright in daylight and when the room is dark. It always looks great. I think HD looks better on LCD also.
ok, this is a broad question. if you are in a darker environment, you should get a plasma. If you are in a lot of light, get a lcd. Lcds are way better though. lcd don't burn out and have a longer warranty. Plasmas burn out if you use it too long constantly.
Go for LCD. The best picture that I've seen on an LCD TV is on the SONY Bravia. I'm very particular.
