BUYING a unusual tube....LCD or PLASMA?
Answers: ok if you are buying anything 37 or smaller that will be in a more lighted nouns (room with window and constatnt light form outside) later go next to an LCD, if you are doing one in a underground room or something with for a while less desk light and you are wanting something bigger than a 37 inch t.v then travel plasma.. another option excluding plasma is DLP projection they are slightly cheaper and only weigh 70 to 80 pounds. they are enormously very polite for applications like a darkened basement and 52- 60 inch sizes.

Plasma of course mate! More relaible technology and better HD pictures. Go for Sony. Can't walk wrong there.
There's a big debate between the two right presently. They say Plasmas are going to take better in the subsequent year or so. But if you're looking for something immediately, I'd move about with HDMI LCD. We bought one a few months ago and it's an amazing TV.
LCD is definately the more affordable way to be in motion.

For a 50 inch LCD you are looking at about $800 - $1400
For a 50 inch Plasma you are looking at in the order of $2000 - $3000
Plasma's are going downhill fast. We merely bought a new box my husband spent weeks researching it, I don't remember all the precise crap he kept telling me, but it come down to plasma = bad.

Buy the following: LCD computer montior, external tv/hdtv tuner next to digital output, and set of speakers. They are only slightly more as components, and make much better. Your upgrade path is much cheaper too.
HDMI doesn't work that all right and it will bite you in the butt when you most minuscule expect it. Plasma is cheaper to manufacture and as designed won't end as long as an LCD.
LCD tv's have progressively lower point LCD panels surrounded by them as the years go by. Which is one of plentiful reasons why it's smarter to buy a computer LCD monitor.
wow not much usefull info within these answers here huh. well honestly both tvs own pros and cons. lcds are a little lighter and use for a while less vitality. they have matte screen so they dont show glare past its sell-by date the screen so they are biddable in rooms next to allot of ambient light. plasmas show more marked and natural color that lcds making the picture more colorfull and almost 3d. plasmas also use alittle more strength than lcds and weigh alittle more. they also have a cup screen witch can show allot of grimace in bright rooms. although newer plasmas contribute a low glare eyeshade and work very all right. both lcds and plasmas have impossible to tell apart life span of something like 60000 hours to half brightness. newer model plamas of lthe closing few years dont suffer from burn in at adjectives . so untimatly both tachnologies have come along style and are imprving every day. to me self pick plasma they have a better element picture. but lcds are getting very close and also hold a great picture. so the choice is up to you. but both are getting so good very soon that there is no witch one is better. its what brand are you gonna capture . cause to be precise the real interrogate. stick to , sony panasonic, samsung, toshiba, sharp, pioneer, and your golden. good luck.
