NEED HELP WANT TO PLAY Xbox ON SYLVANIA TV?

i really want to play my old xbox on my Sylvania TV because i wanna have somtin to do in my room,BUT theres one problem,i cant seem to get it to work,ive tried so many things and nothing has worked,i don't have a remote (lost it) and don't want to buy one so can somebody tell me how i can play my xbox on this tv...

also the TV doesn't have anything special on it no cable and it doesn't have the VHS or DVD things either,its about 10 years old but then again i have no idea

It depends if it has the video/audio plugs(which is what I assume you mean by VHS/DVD things) for the 3 colored chords, if not you'll need to buy a converter, they are somewhat cheap(10-20) at walmart or bestbuy, and they have a button that will put the video/audio from the xbox onto a channel of your choice(usually only 3 or 4 though). If it does have the 3 AV plugins then you need to bring up the menu and switch it from Attenna or Cable to Aux, however you may need a remote to do this, so you might be stuck buying one. Personally, if you're going to buy a remote that you would only use to play the xbox you might as well spend a few extra dollars on the converter that you can use on any TV you will ever have.
