Hello is HDMI is it only use for HD-DVD movies or is it for cable channels?
Answer:
Monster is the best, they are great. HDMI is the best audio/picture cable, but I don't use it for cable. I like it on my upscaling dvd-player, but don't care on cable, and use component cables with a fiber optic for the audio.
Brand, brand, brand... You know a great deal of the time you pay for the luxury of having the company stamp their brand name on the items, right? Albeit, sometimes you should opt for quality (coming from better brands) that is not always the case. So, in this case, so long as the wire is gold plated then you're fine. (Mostly) all HDMI cords are created equal. I bought one from China off of Ebay for ten bucks that I'm sure'll do the job just as well as any $60 one from Monster or Sony (although I have yet to test it). HDMI is the highest conveyence of audio and video information meant for all mediums so, yes, even digital cable, satellite, and even some regular dvd players can accept HDMI cords depending on their connection.
If your cable box has an HDMI output on it then it will work. Do not buy Monster, they are a ripoff. You can find cheaper cables that are the same quality for less at Monoprice.com
