Which HDTV brand/model, 42" and/or less, do you think would give the best SDTV picture?

I'd like to buy the HDTV that has the least distortion when viewing a standard def. I've heard the Sony 34" WEGA® Flat Screen HDTV (KD34XBR970) is good in this regard but unfortunately it weighs almost 200 lbs. Are there any LCD or Plamsa HDTVs that would have an excellent SD picture? I realize until all content matches screen aspect ratios, things won't be perfect.
Thanks for your input.

Answer:
I chose a Sony Bravia LCD (40 lbs) because their picture processing is among the best. Few HD units can do a good job of scaling up SD and NTSC signals. Sony and Pioneer are regarded by many as doing this the best. I'm not disappointed with my Sony.
