Does anyone know how good vizio plasmas are they have a 60 inch i was looking at.?

Garbage. Once out of warranty, no parts or support.
Most fail right after warranty.
Unless a quality unit like Pioneer and Toshiba
I don't think I'd buy a Plasma TV from anyone from the answers on here about them. Go up to the Search for questions area and type in Plasma TV, then click the search button. There has been a lot questions about Plasma's on here.

Plasma TV's as a whole you should stay away from. They are fraught with problems you could avoid by going with an LCD tv.
Vizio as a brand is not good. They are cheap, because they use cheap parts. Cheap parts which you cannot get if it needs repaired, which it most likely will right around the time the warranty expires.
I would recomend an LCD instead, and a better name brand that will back up their product and be able to provide parts if something goes wrong.
